confused are taught in groups to eliminate the similarities. Audio

4. Have you changed any sound-alikes used in the earlier programs?

Yes, just three.
The letter Q is now, "Queen, Queen, the Queen!" The letter N is now
"Nasty!" The character comma is now, "Coma, its a comma!" All other
sound alikes are the same. You will find the new program uses improved
graphics and even animated graphics. Makes it all much more fun! |
5. How
does the auto-checking in Code Quick Centennial work?
|
Using the software in the
teaching mode, the user requests a lesson in the entry line. The computer
readies that lesson, placing the sound-alike icons on the screen. A
click of the icon and the icon will come to life and remind you of the
sound-alike with a voice-over. The screen will then let you know how
many characters are to be sent by putting a dash for each character or
space. A numerical countdown will tell you how many more characters
you need to fill-in to complete the lesson as the code is sounded.
When you finish, you have time to fill in missing characters or change them.
Click enter and the program will then correct any errors, showing you what
you entered and what was actually sent. If you got 30-89% correct, a
message will tell you to try again. If you are able to copy 90% or
more correctly, you will be rewarded with more fun! The beauty of this
system, while being very enjoyable will help you see exactly which
characters come slowly to you and will help you to individualize your
learning efforts.

Why do you use a snail logo?

Your author took 15 years
to pass his 13WPM General license exam using traditional dahs and dits.
It wasn't until then that he looked for a better way. The traditional
method moves you at a snail's pace, while Code Quick Centennial will take

At what speeds does Code Quick
Centennial run and how are they changed?

A very simple interface
in the software allows you to change speeds at any time between actual
lessons with a click. Speeds may be selected: 2.5WPM - 5WPM - 7.5WPM - 10WPM
- 15WPM - 20WPM - 25WPM - 30WPM - 35WPM. Blinking light runs only at
2.5 and 5WPM.
